With rounds of 68 (-3), 70 (-1), 71 (E) and 70 (-1), Fred Couples tied for 8th place at the Target World Challenge.
Despite finishing 11 stokes off the lead, Couples did not shoot an over par round of the week in this 16-player field. For his performance, Couples received a $205,000 check.
This tournament was Fred’s last event in 2004. As usual, the man almost won more money in the “silly season” events than in the regular PgaTour events. In fact, if we add Fred’s earnings from the UBS Cup, the Skins Game and the Target World Challenge, we get a number that is approaching the million. This ironic situation makes fans believe that Couples should ask the Tour to include the “silly season” events as part of the regular schedule.
Stay tuned for a site update before Christmas: At least 2 new picture galleries will be added, as well as some new wallpapers.

EquipmentFred now plays a new ball. In fact, he’s playing with a Bridgestone prototype ball called the B330.
