Fred Couples played four solid rounds in the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospital for Children Open in Las Vegas. It netted Fred a top 25 – a significant achievement given that Fred had missed the cut in his last three events including the PGA Championship, the Barclays and the Deutsche Bank Championship. It marked his sixth top 25 finish for the year.
Couples shot a two-under 70, which dropped him from 17th, where he started the day, down to 24th. Couples had it to 4-under on the day, with the short par 4 15th (which he eagled in the third round) and the par 5 1th to go. Couples attempted to drive the green on the 15th, but his drive went right. He was unable to get up and down. He three putted the par 5 16th, leading to a bogey. Couples picked up another bogey at the 18th when he hit his approach into the water.
Fred finished eight shots behind winner Marc Turnesa.
Couples PGA Tour season is likely over. Couples will play in the ADT Skills Challenge in Florida the first of November and the World Challenge (Tiger’s tournament) in California just before Christmas.

7 Top 27's or better in 17 events is not bad considering he only played in one tournament last year
Finished with an average driving distance of 300.0 yards!
His “offseason” = Skills Challenge/Shark Shootout/People vs. Pros/Tiger's Tournament
Hope starts January 21st…I'll be there
Considering it was probably the weakest field outside of the tournaments that clash with the majors I thought it was a pretty tame effort.
not the weakest..
Not far short.
No one cares what you think homo. Well, except for tommypa that is…
And I don't care what you think.
