If the weekend is going to not only include the Super Bowl for Fred, but playing a couple of rounds of golf, he’ll likely need a round in the 60s. Thursday’s opening round 72, 1-over, leaves Fred in 87th place.

Fred’s first and second round playing partners at this week’s FBR Open are J.B. Holmes and Steve Flesch. First round tee time is 3:35 PM Eastern off #10 tee. Second round tee time is 11:25 AM Eastern off #1 tee.

Fred Couples will play in his first tournament of 2007 this week, as he will compete in the FBR Open.
