Fred Couples completed his second round of the PODS Championship with a 3-over 74. With conditions proving difficult for the entire field, Fred easily made the cut and is only six shots out of the lead held by Brant Snedeker at 5-under.

The second round of the PODS Championship was delayed due to weather. Fred had bogeyed two of his first six holes, so the timing was fortuitous. Several players were unable to complete their round, including leader Jeff Maggert.

Fred Couples birdied the two outward half par fives and parred the rest in the opening round of the PODS Championship. The 2-under 69 leaves him four shots behind first round leader Bart Bryant, although several players were unable to complete their round due to rain.

Fred Couples returns to action this week in the PODS Championship in Tampa Bay, Florida. It’s Fred’s first time playing the PODS and his first time back in Florida for a tournament since the 2006 Players Championship. Fred last played at the Northern Trust Open in Los Angeles, California three weeks ago.
